Returns policy
Faulty Goods
Our products are made in the UK to the highest possible standards, but they are hand made and as such there will very occasionally be a manufacturing flaw. We will automatically replace any of our products which are faulty. We do not require goods to be returned to us but would ask for a photo of the fault to be emailed to us at [email protected] along with details of the original order.
Goods failing due to wear and tear
We expect our products to last for years. This is however a subjective expectation and will depend on the level of use and battering that they have received. If you genuinely do not feel you have had the expected life out of one of our products please email us at [email protected] or telephone us on 01473 890285 to discuss. We want our customers to be happy with our British made products.
Wrong item delivered
Having offered you our apologies, we will of course send out the correct item as soon as we have been notified that the wrong one has been delivered. We would ask that we are told this within 14 days of the original order. We will either arrange for the wrong item to be collected from you at our cost or we will offer it to you to keep as a goodwill gesture.
Wrong item ordered
If you do not want the item which has been ordered and delivered we would ask that you return it to us. We will then refund the order less the billed carriage charge.
DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF BANK/CARD PROCESSING FEES CHARGED AT THE POINT OF TRANSACTION WE ARE SORRY TO INFORM YOU THAT IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER YOUR REFUND WILL BE NET OF BANK PROCESSING FEES.
UK excluding the Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland: £5.95+VAT. Next working day delivery £9.80 +VAT
UK zonal delivery (incl. Northern Ireland), Republic of Ireland: dependent on weight e.g. 1- 4 WeatherWriters £11.90 +VAT
Overseas orders: dependent on weight. All overseas orders are shipped DAP “Delivered at Place,” where the seller is responsible for all costs and risks associated with the delivery of the goods to the final agreed-upon place, usually the buyer’s premises. Ordering from the EU: the UK’s free trade agreement with the EU means that your order should be duty free but you will be asked to pay local VAT and any other applicable local taxes. We will not charge you any UK taxes. In Europe delivery typically costs £18. Ordering outside the EU: the terms of sale are the same as for the EU, namely DAP. Depending on the trading terms agreed with the UK you may need to pay duty as well as local taxes. For reference, carriage costs to North America are approximately £61.
Our delivery charge represents the cost of packing and transporting your order to you. Wherever possible we try to charge a flat fee of £5.95 + VAT (or £9.80+ VAT for next day delivery on orders placed before noon). This means that if you order one product from us or 20, you will be subject to the same delivery charge.
Where it becomes more difficult to offer a flat carriage charge is in areas where couriers impose excess delivery fees. In the UK this includes the islands off the mainland, some Highland postcodes and Northern Ireland.

*Please note that if you are ordering from outside the EU that there may be import fees payable in some countries
We do not aim to make money out of carriage charges – if for some reason our website charges you more than you would expect, please email us at [email protected] and we will double check the delivery charge for you. Any excess over our packing and transport cost will be refunded to you.
